Budget tablets 2016 for 'The Witcher 3' Dev Confirms 2016 DLC and other games
'The Witcher 3' Dev Confirms 2016 DLC, Ensures Gamer Trust
wrote Christopher Groux:
"The Witcher 3's" developers at CD Projekt RED are flying high heading into 2016, and the team's plan is to continue to provide DLC for their popular RPG. After that, the studio will release "Cyberpunk 2077" with the promise of gamer trust.
The news comes to Design & Trend via a translated interview with developer CEO Adam Kicinsk as featured on the Polish TV show, "Money." CGMagazine provides the English transcription.
First and foremost, it's been revealed that "The Witcher 3" will get bigger even after its "Blood And Wine" expansion releases in the first half of 2016. "Apart from the second expansion we have some additional ideas. They should help us animate sales in 2016," said Kicinski. "The game is selling so well, that we are convinced there are still many people who will buy it if we promote it further." He confirmed that the studio will remain dedicated to DLC until the end of next year.
With larger expansions in mind, however, Adam was clear that he never wants fans to feel like they're being nickeled and dimed for cash. In the man's own words, "we don't want to exploit gamers for their money." Such is why a fair amount of DLC for "The Witcher 3" has been free. It's possible that that trend might continue next year too. The intention is to keep the employee numbers reasonably small so that those player perks are still financially feasible.
Once that expansion campaign elapses, CD Projekt will put full force behind its previously announced "Cyberpunk 2077" title. In contrast to "The Witcher," this project involves futuristic elements with corporations in a morally gray world. Its development began in 2012, but the studio still isn't willing to offer a release window yet. "We already have the release date for'Cyberpunk 2077' planned, but we won't announce it until we are ready to start the marketing campaign." Other studio insiders have reiterated that the finished product will be ready when it's ready.
If more DLC for "The Witcher 3" is in the works, that will likely have an impact on the new game's deadlines. This is especially true for a small group like CD Projekt.
"The Witcher 3" is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
What do you want to see from future DLC for "The Witcher?" Would you rather its developers transfer their efforts to "Cyberpunk 2077?" Let us know in the poll and comments section!
Budget tablets 2016: Where to buy
When buying a budget tablet there are a few things that you need to consider
Enjoy up to 10 hours on a single charge in a thin and light 2 in 1 form factor for work and play on the go.
More than enough to switch from work to play and back again. And again. Premium performance includes lightning-fast, high-speed connection options, immersive graphics, stunning 4K display and video, the ability to share screens wirelessly.
Screen
Screen size is a personal preference, neither smaller nor bigger is better. Bigger means an easier-to-see screen and (usually) longer battery life, while smaller means a tablet that's more portable: it's smaller and lighter.
Storage
That's fine if your chosen tablet has a microSD slot for adding storage. The new range finally has expandable storage.
Consider 16GB a minimum: 8GB without a microSD card is just too restrictive because half (or more) of this can be taken up by the operating system and pre-installed apps which you might not be able to remove.
Cameras
Most tablet cameras (let alone budget models) are relatively poor compared to the best smartphones. You should have a multi-purpose tablet for game and work.
Processor
Don't pay any attention to GHz numbers or even RAM. It's easy to be fooled into believing a tablet will - or won't - perform well based on numbers alone. Read our reviews to find out how each tablet performs in the real world.
Software
The last thing that you should know is that pretty much every budget tablet around today comes with Google’s Android operating system or windows O/S.
